Class Description for Prenatal Yoga:
This gentle and nurturing class is for all stages of pregnancy. The deep connection between mom and baby’s health and well-being during pregnancy is positively impacted from a regular prenatal yoga practice that encourages nurturing, strengthening and calming movement, breath and connection.
Amy’s class goes beyond yoga poses suitable during pregnancy. She draws on her Therapeutic Yoga Practitioner background to include functional body mechanics, stress relief, pelvic floor health, comfort measures and movements to reduce pain associated with different stages of pregnancy. Amy weaves her Prenatal Yoga, Childbirth Education, Birth/Postpartum Doula Training and Somatic Studies to create a truly holistic and empowering experience that prepares folks physically, mentally and emotionally for labor, birth and postpartum.
