What Participants Have to Say:
“Having taken both a hospital class and Empowered Childbirth, I wholeheartedly suggest Amy and Amé’s E. C. class. In addition to the nuts and bolts of labor, birth, coping strategies and interventions – their class prepares you emotionally for the birth experience and offers you an array of alternatives so that you are prepared to ask questions you wouldn’t have known to ask.” ~ Lauren A.
“We wanted to extend our sincere thanks for all your time and energy these past few weeks during our childbirth classes. The information we received was not only extremely helpful, but brought to the forefront an intense feeling of empowerment for the birth of our first child! We are very grateful to have been a part of such a wonderful educational environment with a pure sense of trust and understanding for each couples wishes and desires throughout there own process.” ~ Matt and Anna R.
Ame Solomon began attending births in 1994, and received formal Doula training in 1995. She then trained and became a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) in 1998. She offers a wealth of information and skill as a Child Birth Educator and Doula. She is well-versed in both medical procedures and alternative healing modalities, making her an effective, nonjudgmental counselor to women and their partners seeking to make maternal health decisions tailored to their personal understanding of wellness.
Amy LePage has been furthering her studies and training in yoga since 2006. She became focused on Prenatal and Postpartum Yoga, as well as Partner Prenatal workshops (helping birth partners learn how to support their loved one during labor and birth) after the birth of her two children. Her Doula and Therapeutic Yoga trainings provided in-depth knowledge and understanding in anatomy and body mechanics – specific to the birthing experience. Further studies in Somatic Movement brings an understanding of neurology focused on movement and specifically the reflexive patterns our bodies carry which impact our responses to life events.
